The Place to be!

The Place was an absolute gem and is highly recommended. Quirky interior design coupled with practical layout provided a haven of peace and tranquility from the HCM melee

The stairs were steep but the lovely staff willingly helped with bags. The room could have done with a good dust and mop; otherwise, perfect

The water pressure is very low. We can barely use the bathroom and have trouble on the first day . They only fixed it on the 2nd day

beautiful room, helpful staff, great location.

Big room and toilet. Beautiful decoration. Convenient location. Helpful staff. Love the big mirror and the living area.

The private toilet is not in the room, need to walk few steps (we got the key for the toilet). no elevator. There are real tree in bedroom, it may produce a lot of carbon dioxide and not good when we sleeping.

10h tối là đóng cửa , mặc dù có bảo vệ canh ở trong để mở cửa nhưng cảm giác đi chơi về sau 10h tối phãi kêu cửa cảm giác rất khó chịu vì thật sự tôi không muốn làm phiền người khác . Trong thời gian lưu trú vào đêm thứ 2 máy lạnh đột nhiên bị hư lúc 3h sáng và không có ai hiểu biết cũng như có trách nhiệm để giải quyết được việc như vậy , tôi phãi đợi một người có thể gọi là staff gọi điện cho hết ngừoi này đến người kia để tìm cách giải quyết và thật sự rất phiền ! Sau đó tôi chuyển lên lầu 4 để ngủ tạm và tôi mong mình nhận được lời giải thích hợp lý , nhưng không và thật ra sáng hôm sau lời giải thích của quản lý không thoả đáng , quản lý nói là khi tôi booking đáng ra cho tôi phòng ở lầu 4 ( phòng ở lầu 4 có cỡ giường nhỏ hơn và phòng tắm cũng khác so với những lầu khác , giá tiền cũng khác ) và nói là vì mạch điện ở khách sạn rất phức tạp nên buộc tôi phải chuyển phòng . Và thật ra nhé việc này cũng không vấn đề gì nhưng cách mà quản lý ( mà thật ra tôi cũng không biết phải quản lý hay không ) giải thích cũng như không cho tôi câu trả lời thoả đáng về sự việc khiến tôi khá bực .

What was the highlight of The Place

It was okay - you're paying for location

- The location is great - Size of the the bathroom (note this is separate to your room - you need to exit your room and it's across the hallway (3 steps away)

- The place was not as clean we we would have liked. As we walked up the stairs (no lift) we noticed it was very dark and dusty and there were two dead cockroaches on the stairs. There was also a dead cockroach in the corner of our private bathroom - not a big deal as they're dead but still not a welcome sight upon arrival. Was also odd as we were there for almost a week and there we no other guests except for our last night. - Stains on our lounge, water stains on the floor (from what I can gather from watering the indoor plants) and there was a lipstick kiss stain on one of our walls - Odd as there wasn't always someone at reception and when there was they didn't appear to be dressed as staff so it was hard to tell if they were staff or not - On some nights there was a "guard" at the door however most nights the doors were just shut. We did feel obligated to return early from our outings as they would check in on us and want to chain the front doors locked to attend to other locations (either a second hotel or restaurant). - Wasn't any hot water - wasn't much of the problem because it was so hot and humid any way - Only assigned one key for the room and one for the bathroom - Please note there is no bar or restaurant downstairs (it looks like it use to be a restaurant but no longer operating)

What was the highlight of The Place

Trendy apartments in central location

The Place is a building of boutique apartments with private (but not ensuite bathrooms) and a cafe on the ground floor. The best thing is the amazing floor to ceiling windows with views over HCM. The rooms are big, light and spacious with a bedroom area, and living area, and an absolutely huge bathroom with is across the corridor. The staff were helpful and the desk is manned 24 hours a day. The location is very central with lots of markets, restaurants and bars nearby.

It would be useful to have a fridge, a safe and another set of keys (as you need these to unlock the room and the bathroom).

Different.

Location near the markets was great. Very central to all the tourist areas. Night security is good bloke and good fun.

Bed is rock hard. The bedroom is separated from the bathroom by stairs. Not good in the middle of the night as you need to get dressed and lock a door behind you all the time. No lift. No breakfast.

Beautiful Decor. Big room and bathroom.

The decor was so lovely! The bathroom was so clean and big. Lots of people complained about the fact that the bathroom is separated but it was only 2 steps away, that didn't bother us and it's a huge bathroom so that's cool! I believe we were the only people that stayed at the hotel at the time so the restaurant downstairs and rooftop bar was closed early The view from the room was nice and big, there was construction going on at the front of the building but it's like that everywhere anyway

Restaurant in the hotel serve delicious food and the interior is unique & picture worthy.

Extra large bed with a dining table. Location wise - close to everywhere. Staffs & manager extremely helpful and friendly. More like a family-run boutique hotel. And the Pho is better than many places we have tried!

The toilet is across the room,but it is really spacious. may not be convenient for small children and elderly.
